Description:

According to Ministerial Order No. 050 / CAB / MIN / EDD / 01/03 / BLN / 2015 of 25/09/2015 on logging, there are two types of permits. That of "first category" or local allows the holder to operate in the protected forest on a cutting area not exceeding 50 hectares. It is characterized by the exclusive use of rudimentary exploitation instruments (machete, ax, long saw, hard fire) or a chainsaw, and whose production is limited to the satisfaction of local needs. That of " allows an operator or a group of people from communities bordering the forest concerned to operate on a small-scale forestry unit that may not exceed 500 hectares.The data from this layer come from various sources including official attribution documents (favorable opinion, permits, etc.), GPS data and satellite imagery.
